Brief: Jackson’s Dairy is a local dairy operation supplying milk and associated products to homes and businesses in the Stockport area.
Our brief was to build a website with interactive features (a blog) which would engage the local community and ultimately drive more sales to Jackson’s Dairy. The site needed to be accessible and easily found in the major search engines. The new site now ranks #1 on Google for many search phrases, including: dairy Stockport, Stockport dairy, Stockport milk, etc. and is even #3 on Google for Manchester milk deliveries!
Solution: This new website needed to be accessible, visible, engaging, informative and fun! By using a JQuery carousel in the header of the website (the spinning milk bottles), we presented a large amount of information in an eye-catching manner, with interactive controls – click the milk bottle you’re interested in, and the relevant information is shown. Moving your mouse across the picture of a cow in the header prompts the cow to moo loudly – try it, most people spend a few minutes going moo moo moo!
Up to date information on the latest happenings at Jackson’s Dairy and in the dairy business is brought to the consumer via the blog which we have integrated into the website. This is fully editable by the staff of Jackson’s Dairy, and is a good source of “search engine juice” – the stuff that gets a website to #1 in Google. The website acts as a menu of all of the goods and services offered by Jackson’s Dairy, and the easy-to-use contact form makes it simple for people to enquire about having milk delivered to their home or business.
Website features: Blog, Flash Header, Rotating, clickable image Carousel, Simple contact form, Audio samples.
